Our certifications

We seek out safe, sustainable, and renewable materials to ensure the highest quality for our products. All our bags, sacks, liners and films are certified compostable and biodegradable according to the European Standard EN 13432, the US Standard ASTM D6400 and the Australian Standard AS473.
Additionally, our bags, sacks, liners and films hold compostable and biodegradable certificates issued by several certification institutions like TÜV AUSTRIA (OK Compost) and BPI (USA).
OK Compost HOME
OK compost HOME certification ensures that our bags, sacks and liners containing this logo will biodegrade in a home environment such as a garden compost setting.
OK Compost INDUSTRIAL
OK compost INDUSTRIAL certification ensures that our bags, sacks and liners containing this logo biodegrade at an industrial composting plant.
OK Biodegradable SOIL
OK biodegradable SOIL certification is mainly applied in the agricultural sector and ensures that our mulch film is biodegradable in soil.
EN 13432
The European standard for industrial compostability, confirming that our bags decompose in commercial facilities without leaving harmful residues.
BPI Compostable
BPI is a leading U.S. certification for industrial compostability. Our products meet ASTM D6400 standards and break down without leaving harmful residues. BPI Certification #891053.
Cré Ireland C03
Cré is Ireland’s independent compostability certification for products proven to break down in Irish composting facilities. Biobag is Cré-certified for food waste bins and is currently the only supermarket brand offering certified compostable bags in Ireland.
