For over 30 years, we have been developing products that make sustainable decisions easier. These principles continue to guide who we are and what we work toward every day: helping people build habits that lead to meaningful environmental impact.
Our values
How we work
Biobag is part of the Novamont Group, a global leader in biobased materials and biochemical innovation. Novamont develops and produces Mater-Bi®, the raw material used in our products. Their research and innovation strengthen our ability to deliver solutions that support the Bioeconomy and help reduce environmental impact.
Our production takes place in Europe, close to the markets we serve. By manufacturing locally, we reduce unnecessary transport emissions and stay responsive to customer needs. Our factory on the island of Hiiumaa operates on 100% renewable energy, supported by solar panels, continuous improvements, and strong waste-reduction practices. Production waste is sorted and recycled, and we invest yearly in machinery and processes to minimise material loss.
