We seek out safe, sustainable, and renewable materials to ensure the highest quality for our products. All our bags, sacks, liners and films are certified compostable according to the European Standard EN 13432, the US Standard ASTM D6400 and the Australian Standard AS473.
Additionally, our bags, sacks, liners and films hold compostable certificates issued by several certification institutions like TÜV AUSTRIA (OK Compost) and BPI (USA).
Many of our Food Scrap bags are also Non-GMO Project Verified.
BPI Compostable
Biodegradable Products Institute (BPI) is a leading U.S. certification for industrial compostability. Our products meet ASTM D6400 standards and break down without leaving harmful residues. BPI Certification #891053.
Compost Manufacturing Alliance. Composter Approved
Fully tested and approved by Compost Manufacturing Alliance. Composter Approved Categories: CMA-I (Covered In-Vessel), CMA-W (Windrow Technology) and CMA-A (Aerated Static Pile).
Non-GMO Project Verified
Products must meet strict criteria for GMO avoidance to achieve this verification. Biobag’s 3 Gallon Food Scrap Bags, 13 Gallon Food Scrap Bags, many Compostable Commercial Liners, and Compostable Produce Bags have been Non-GMO Project Verified.
OK compost HOME
OK compost HOME certification ensures that our bags, sacks and liners containing this logo will compost in a home environment such as a garden compost setting.
OK Compost INDUSTRIAL
OK compost INDUSTRIAL certification ensures that our bags, sacks and liners containing this logo biodegrade at an industrial composting plant.
OK Biodegradable SOIL
OK biodegradable SOIL certification is mainly applied in the agricultural sector and ensures that our mulch film is biodegradable in soil.
