When sustainable choices are simple and practical, more people take them, and each choice contributes to something bigger. For over 30 years, we have been developing products that make sustainable decisions easier. These principles continue to guide who we are and what we work toward every day: helping people build habits that lead to meaningful environmental impact.
Our values
How we work
Biobag is part of the Novamont Group, a global leader in biobased materials and biochemical innovation. Novamont develops and produces Mater-Bi®, the raw material used in our products. Their research and innovation strengthen our ability to deliver solutions that support the Bioeconomy and help reduce environmental impact.
The majority of Biobag Americas, Inc products are Made in the USA, close to our end users and markets we serve. By manufacturing locally, we reduce unnecessary transport emissions and stay responsive to customer needs. Our U.S. based production takes place in San Leandro, California. We do source some of our products abroad, but we continually look for domestic alternatives.

Our certifications guarantee that Biobag products truly break down as promised, at home, in industrial composting, or directly in soil. Verified by independent organizations, they provide confidence in genuine compostability and responsible production.
